No, we did not have any part in the creation of these series and have translated them without the permission of the original author. We feel this helps to boost the popularity of a series that would otherwise not be read by many non-Japanese speakers. If the original authors or publishers show any objection to our translating of these series or if an official English translation begins, we will remove our scan-translations of that series immediately. Will you scan-translate (insert series name here)? Chances are if we had the free time and resources to scan-translate, we'd have already started another series we like. However, it doesn't hurt to ask. Try asking on the forum before e-mailing us. Where do you get your manga? Each staff member gets their manga from different places, due to our differences in location. Most manga is bought in California and Ohio at stores such as Kinokuniya or Book Off. Some staff members get manga online from places like amazon.co.jp or JAMall. Sometimes manga is sent from one staff member to another for scanning or translating. Can you tell me where I can find (insert series here)? If it's not on our site, we don't know a specific URL that you'd be able to find it, so don't bother emailing us about it. Your best bet is to try Noated.com, the best online search engine for manga scan-translations. How come you guys are so slow in releasing chapters? What are you, stupid? We pride ourselves in being one of the fastest manga translation sites on the net. If you feel we're too slow, deal with it. Can I buy manga from you? Not from us as in the staff, but you may purchase it through online stores such as amazon.co.jp or JAMall. Site Questions Why isn't chapter (##) of manga (X) working?!! We appreciate being informed when things aren't working, just please try to look on the rest of the site or forum and see if the problem hasn't already been acknowledged before putting your own post in the forum. There was a time where it was clearly written in many places on the site that many chapters of a certain series were down, yet we still got many e-mails "informing" us that they were down. Please, check around to see if the problem isn't already acknowledged beforehand. And again, post on the forum before e-mailing, please!! Can I steal Mike's name and use it on the MB? No. When will the next update be? There will be an update when there's an update. We never know when exactly we will update, it all just depends on what's going on with our lives outside of Toriyama's World (yes, we aren't just all-knowing entities of cyberspace). Manga Questions What ever happened to you guys doing Trigun/Trigun Maximum? Trigun lacks furigana making it more difficult to translate. This is one of the many reasons why we decided to cut the series from our list. Two other main ones were that another group had undertaken the project, and the manga pretty follows the anime, with a few minor exceptions. How many volumes does _____ have? Ask this one in the forums, you'll get a fast answer from some of our resident otaku's. |
