Kajika debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in the summer of 1998 as Toriyama's second major effort since the end of DragonBall. Planned from the beginning as a one-book series, Kajika was very simple and followed the basic plot formula Toriyama used in DragonBall. Though simple in terms of story, the series is very charming and entertaining. Toriyama's brilliant story-telling ability shines through and an interesting cast of characters makes Kajika definitely worth reading.
